If you are looking for ways to raise awareness of your cause in an effort to fundraise there are a number of online sites that can help you.
Before you start looking at these different ways it is a good time to remind you that it is important to have your own blog and here is why…..
When you set up a fan page or other fundraising site with a third party website you will be bringing new visitors to them as well as taking advantange of the people already visiting their site. A good fundraising plan includes building your own audience so it is important you have your own base that you can send people too. With your own blog hosted on your own domain you are adding value to your brand.
So by all means use any of the following third party websites but always remember a successful fundraising will be looking to build their subscriber based by collecting names and emails so it is important you send people back to your blog.

Just Giving
Just Giving is a website dedicated to helping people fundraise for good causes. Money can be donated in a safe environment that is then sent to your charitable bank account. The site provides you with facilities to promote your page and allows people who contribute and want to help promote your cause do that by adding a badge on their website or blog.
You can also link your profile with your Facebook account and so can anyone who wants to support you so this provides a huge opportunity to spread the word on a viral scale.
Start an ecommerce store with Printfection, Zazzle or Cafe Press
All three of these sites provide you with the tools you need to add your image or logo on to a variety of different products including mugs, caps, tshirts, bags and more. Cafe Press is the most well known source for setting up an ecommerce store like that and is an ideal opportunity for you to fundraise for your organisation. Supporters can buy your items (you decide on the price) and Cafe Press will print the item and deliver it to your support so there is nothing you really need to do expect create and promote your shop.
Fundable
Fundable is another source for online fundraising in the UK and has been set up to support everyone not just charitable causes.
Like Just Giving Fundable allows you to set up your own fundraising page that you can then use to promote to family and friends as well as asking them to send it round to others.
ChipIn
ChipIn is a US site that provides you with the ability to set up a widget which you can then add to your social networks and blog including Facebook, Typepad, Blogger and others.
A widget is a small box that is placed on your site (see the Friendfeed box on the right hand side of my blog – that’s a widget) using code that a site provides for you. Once on your blog it is usually interactive in some way or provides people with a brief overview of whatever you are promoting.
