in Strategy & Planning

As a blogger it is a good idea to find tools and techniques that save you time so I was just blown away by this new resource called the RSSZine by Penny Haynes which will take your pdf and turn it into an online magazine with turning pages, live links, and the ability to add audio/video content.

It will also take your RSS feed and turn it into a pdf that has fully functioning links which take people back to your blog.

You can literally take your blog or podcast feed and convert it into a magazine without having to write a single thing!

There’s a great video on the site that shows you how it works and examples that you can check out here

All of that content you have already created on your blog and on a separate RSS feed if you have one can be added to RSSZine and then given away, or sold as an information product.

Here are 5 great ways to repurpose your content using the RSSZine tool, doing this will also add to your marketing material – it will provide you with a bunch of new stuff to giveaway as a way to build your audience and get people coming to you instead of constantly chasing them!

1. Create multimedia information products.

If you have an RSS feed that contains all your audio and/or video podcasts you can add that to RSSZine and turn it into a multimedia information product that you give away. The video will not be playable inside the magazine but the link wil be live and will take the viewer back to your blog or wherever your RSS feed comes from.

2.  Take your blog posts and create a newsletter

Having to write a newsletter each week can take time, especially as you are already blogging loads! What you can do instead is take your latest blog posts and add them to RSSZine then send that out as your newsletter. When someone reads something interesting they can click on the link to come back to your blog

3.  Take your PDF special reports or ebooks and turn them into magazines

Everyone is giving away free PDFs, imagine giving away free magazines instead. It is different, new and a much better marketing tool. Again the links are all live so at any time the reader can click and will be sent back to your blog.

4.  Get other people to promote your product as an affiliate

One of the great features of RSSZine is to include your keywords and affiliate links inside your magazine.  It is a well known fact that people are more likely to promote your product if you give them tools that will help them succeed. You can create special magazines that they can give away after including their affiliate link.

5.  Add your products and turn it into a catalog

If you have a collection of products on your blog that are included in your RSS feed you can take them and add them to the RSSZine and create a turning magazine of all your products that you give away.

I will definitely be using this resource to convert all my free pdfs into magazines because it really is a time saver. Plus you will notice that with everything you create using this resource people are sent right back to your blog, which means more traffic for you as people begin to share and your free resource.
